The Ubuntu images are used to provision virtual machines with an Ubuntu Server Linux distribution pre-installed. For more information about Ubuntu, see www.ubuntu.com.
The Ubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu 10.04 images are now deprecated and have been replaced by the Certified Canonical Ubuntu images. The [Certified Canonical Ubuntu[(/images/linux/ubuntu-certified) images are designed by Canonical to be optimized for various cloud infrastructures, including the MNX Cloud. This 64-bit image is a basic Ubuntu Server v.12.04 Linux distribution containing two disk:
The root disk is mounted as 3 partitions /, /tmp and swap.
The data disk is pre-formatted and mounted at /data. The size of the data disk is specified when you provision the machine.
